The article is a report of study carried out to explore the barriers in conducting the various interventions in the treatment of the alcohol problem. The study has been carried out based on the legal, health and social problems that are associated with extreme alcohol consumption. . According to the article the nurse have found out that the biggest facilitator to the intervention against alcohol use have relations to their illnesses. The top barrier is poor response to the interventions and lack of interest in changes by patients.

The article presents the data analysis of a research that was carried out by Katie Witkiewitz of Washington state university. He was also assisted by colleagues of the combine study based on the efficiency of two pharmacotherapy in the treatment of alcohol addiction. According to the article, adults immersed into alcoholism received a treatment module the aims at craving during combine behavior intervention exhibited decreases in negative mood as well as decrease in the heavy drinking incidence.

According to the article, there have been national evaluation services that made the recommendations for a close fit of primary care and specialist services.

The article is a research work to identify the experiences of service users, family members and staffs. These people are involved with the community alcohol services that provide home detoxification and physosocial support. The article also shows a representation of semi-structured interviews that were conducted for the mentioned persons. According to the article, there were incidences of contradicting views. They concern the aspect of the detoxification service between the service users and the facilitating staff. The participants valued the therapeutic relationship.

Primary care drug services are expected to provide treatment for polydrug use. Alcohol abuse is not always included in the assessment process and is therefore an unmet need. Using the example of an Islington-based primary care drugs service; this article looks at how alcohol abuse can be included in primary care assessment and detoxification programs to increase the chances of dry periods. According to the article there is a new approach to treatment of alcoholism problem through a community based primary care for detoxification of the people in alcohol and drug use.

In the article, about 128 alcohols dependent people both male and female received group treatment for 26 weeks using one between the two modalities that were presented. The aim of cognitive behavioral treatment was to develop coping skills with alcoholism in order to examine interpersonal relationship. The coping skills were then conducted just before and after treatment. The results revealed that both treatment methods bared good results throughout the period. However, there were the effects impacted on the methods were equal since they did not greatly increase coping skills. To this effect, the results left some question on certain treatment elements unanswered.

The article studies the response of twenty-one volunteer patients who were exposed to treatment using various methods. The three methods were used on different patients at a mean of 11 hours. The first method involved interpersonal aversion followed by systematic desensitization to alcohol related anxieties. The second involved interpersonal aversion followed by a controlled procedure with friendly interaction and the third was a group discussion. After a follow up was conducted, the systematic interpersonal method had temperate as compared the one of the seven who got treatment through interpersonal aversion control procedure.
