Provide five reasons why manufacturers are shifting to Solid Disks. What do you prefer, SSD or conventional hard drive? Presently Solid Disks are finding attention from manufactures for number of reasons.
1-They are being considered more reliable in terms of their architecture.
2-Speed is always an important factor that is considered with regard to storage devices capacity. S. S. D provides much improved data rates capacity as compared to their predecessors. These features include faster boot time, increased number of cycles per second.
3- The latency variable is also an improvement in contrast to conventional H. D. Ds.
4-Their inbuilt features of providing more resistance to shocks make them more sought after.
5-Solid State Disks are being termed as less power hungry. They are designed with the consideration of being energy friendly (Murugesan & Gangadharan, 2012, 31) that in turn leaves little burden for C. P. U to derive the power from the main supplies within.
6- Weight is another factor in which S. S. D outweighs its predecessor.
Verdict:
Considering all these factors and features, I would personally go for Solid State Disks.
Provide five reasons why flat screens are more popular than Cathode Ray Tube? What do you prefer?
Flat screens are in demand for the following reasons:
1. Size reduction has always been a priority for manufacturers. Flat screens occupy much more reduced size as compared to the bulky, nearly table occupying space.
2. Radiation emission is a factor associated with health safety. Flat screens are being testified as low radiation emission
3. Maximum color capacity supported by CRT is limited to 32 bit; Flat screens in contrast provide support of over 16 million colors
4. Flat screens are also attributed to reduced geometric distortion of image as often observed in CRT.
5. Flat Screen television sets are also dubbed as energy savers as in contrast to their predecessors.
6. Aspect ratio is also different for each with Flat screens souring up to 1280* 1024
Other features of distinction on behalf of Flat screen include sharpness factor, gray scale handling, gamma rays handling , viewing angle.
Verdict:
Having highlighted the differences and features provided by Flat Screen, they clearly stand out. Although price is a differentiating factor and Flat screens cost high, yet I would go for Flat Screens as compared to the conventional CRTs that are bulky, less attractive and less useful as compared to the flat screen plasmas.
