India of my dreams

I am proud to be an Indian. This great country has rich culture, traditions and is a country with unity in diversity. But there are many problems facing our country. I dream of an India where every child gets food, shelter and education. I feel terrible for the children, who live in poor conditions, and their home has no water and no toilets and are deprived of any education. I dream of an India where all children go to school and not to factories or streets. Corruption is another big problem facing our country. Every one of us dreams of a corruption free government.

I am hopeful that with spread of technology, corruption will slowly reduce. Majority of our citizens live below poverty line. I dream of an India where every Indian gets adequate food, proper sanitation and health care and every village is electrified. I dream of an India where senior citizens are respected and taken care of and gender discrimination is totally avoided. Who will not dream of a terror free country? Terrorism is becoming a big burden on our economy. I wish that hatred is removed from our heart and there exists love and respect for every religion, cast, creed and language.

Unemployment is a major reason for social unrest. I wish that each and every one of us get employment and decent livelihood after education. Every Indian like me dream of a clean and green environment. We should have good roads and reliable public transport system. Every one of us should stop littering, stop spitting in public places, and make India a better place to live in. I dream of my country to be economically strong, technologically superb, socially rich, globally respected and a world leader. I hope my dream comes true soon.
