These changes reduces the risk of developing diseases like obesity, cancer, diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, coronary artery diseases, hypertension and stroke, osteoarthritis, and reproductive problems. Changes to diet, risk behaviors, and physical activity can be implemented on a wide scale by promoting primary health prevention measures. Primary prevention measures involve counseling and education of the entire community on public meetings and via social media. Additionally, psychosocial interventions may improve the society coping skills and offer emotional support.
