Being an american means to be free but loyal to your country. Being an american is about being free and loyal. It’s about having freedom of religion, rights, and justice.

It’s about being yourself. Being an american is about saying the pledge of allegiance, it’s also about your own vote. Some people think being an american is about the right of free speech.

On the outside of the U. S., people particularly would say Americans are loud and very upfront. Americans like to strongly speak their mind and freely express their own opinion. In most countries this would be very breathtaking is what you would say. Americans are not normally being rude in anyway when they speak their mind.

When they speak they just want to bring out their opinion, when a person says their opinion they are gradually speaking their mind and want someone to hear them out. To me being an American is about everyone having equal rights whether you’re a man or woman. Weather you are white, Mexican, or even colored, we all should have the same rights as everyone else. We should not be treated differently because of are color or religion. Having freedom of speech is something that is important to the american culture, the culture is protected by the first amendment to the US constitution.

Freedom of speech does not give Americans the right to engage in hate speech. Most of all we must think that the american life is accepted for all cultures and religion. This could very from your own.

The next important thing is being an american means you are part of the most diverse cultures in the world. American is one of very few countries in the world where it is not nearly possible to define the nation by someone’s race. but freedom and liberty are very important in the American culture and a big part on what it means to be an American. American’s have the freedom to live the life that they choose and are about being the right which are for the people have fought and died for us. Being an american is freedom and liberty to your country it’s about doing what you please but still have some small policies to follow. I asked a teacher on what they thought about being an american and Gray say’s “ There is a pride of having freedom and opportunities” ( Gray, 2017)The opportunities we get in America are speechless because american is one of the most places with the most opportunities on earth. I’ve explained on what it means  to be an american, but I haven’t explained to you on what it’s like to live in an americans shoes.

For me being an american, walking on the earth in montana for me it is an honor. I could have been born in the UK to where they do not have a lot of rights that we do here in the US. Sure some things are the same but If you lived in the United States i’d feel pretty lucky.

You don’t have to put up with half the things other people In the world have to put up with in their everyday lives. Here in America you have the right to say the Pledge of Allegiance. Here in America I can vote for who i want to be president. Being an american Is about being brave and proud of this country. Being an American is an honor not a privilege. Also being an american is being free it means you can make your own decisions on where you want to live, where you want to work and even who you get to marry.
