In her lecture, she described the condition of dissociation as an emotional and physical condition in which a person gets detached from the surroundings particularly from reality. She also called herself a sadistic writer. Jeanne used different psychoanalytical models to describe the condition of dissociation. She also informed that dissociation might work as a coping mechanism for the person to fight against stress and depression. She added that the dissociative experiences can be categorized by the multiple maladaptive mental constructions or the natural ability of an individual to imagine the things (Randolph).
