My Teaching Philosophy I teach my with the help of real life examples that I demonstrate to them using the moving image. I teach my this way because having the theoretical knowledge supplemented with real life case studies, students are able to optimize on their critical analysis skills. Making the study of real life cases a regular part of my teaching, I inculcate an urge in the students to look at the concepts from the practical perspective. My goal is to enhance their understanding of the concepts to such a level that they are able to easily apply their knowledge to the real life cases. I don’t want to produce a workforce that is well educated but not competent enough to handle the complexities of the real life problems. Using moving image is a very important part of my teaching style which makes it all the more convenient for the students to understand the concept. I believe that human tendency to learn is at its best when it requires the humans to use maximum senses. Thus, if I only deliver the lecture without showing the students videos, they would only engage their hearing sense to understand me in the class. On the other hand, when I supplement my theoretical demonstration with the moving image, the students not only engage their hearing sense in the lecture, but also make use of their viewing sense. Thus, learning occurs at two levels. I also need the multimedia demonstration in order to show the videos of concepts being applied on the real life cases. Therefore, multimedia is a very essential component of my teaching.
