Most people are never satisfied with what they have. Perhaps this leads to our further development, but at the same time it prevents us from enjoying the moment we are living right now. I personally believe that if a person chooses to be ‘ unconventional’ in some way (gay, subculture or else), it presupposes that he or she should accept the situation of ‘ conventional’ people instantly trying to point out that it is not normal to be like that.

I prefer staying neutral when talking about gay marriages, because I have 2 controversial arguments in mind. The first one is that I really think all people should be equal and have the same legal rights if needed. On the other hand, I would definitely be against same-sex couples adopting kids. I strongly believe that they should not do this, because it will lead to considerable changes in a kid’s outlook and can seriously harm them. This is a scientifically based point of view – just take any book in Psychology and there will be clearly stated that the future of a child will most probably depend on their childhood and what they learned from parents. Having 2 mommies or 2 dads isn’t really a good family structure.

In general, I fully support the idea that same-sex marriages should get some legal rights to have certain benefits and to be considered as a married couple. This can hardly damage the society and will only let some people be happier and satisfied.
