Distance Education is the learning whereby instructors/tutors/professors and students have been separated in the place and time. The communication among the professors and students is through technology and by other online ways. It can be voice centered technology e. g. The learners enrolled into lessons don’t attend the institution, but they study outside the university grounds and present their exams and assignments by email or mail, while Traditional Education is an extended recognized customs found in learning institutions that people have customarily deemed appropriate.
There is no need of commuting in Distance Education so it saves money and time which would otherwise be spend on travelling back and forth to school. Through the Distance Education you don’t have to live into the same state or similar town to attend the learning institute of your preference, you are capable of learning when you can use a computer and internet connection; one can reside and study from anywhere. Through Distance Education one is capable of completing the course at one’s convenience. Students complete assignments during off-hours or from home.
Distance Education deal with physical convenience issues that some learners have dilemma in gaining admission to a classroom or having to sit on uncomfortable desks; it is effortlessly accessible to everyone. With Distance Education the students do not get immediate feedback, the learner has to wait for response until the trainer to review their work and respond to it while in the traditional education students performance is immediately assessed through questions and informal testing. Most employers recognize Distance Education but a few do not so the students should be sure of their employers’ perception on this education system because it may not be recognized.
Through Distance Education the students may feel isolated or lack social physical relations that come than when attending a traditional classroom. With Distance Education the student does not find the chance to interrelate with professors and other students on a personal foundation, it inhibits to build verbal skills which are an essential trait when they go for interviews.. The traditional education is intended to allow learners gain personal understanding on the subject matter. In Traditional Education students can study and mingle with their peers. The instructor is capable of teaching students lots of important lessons of existence which can’t be learned through technology. It is simple teachers to take care of the students whenever they have questions or problem. It is easy for people to communicate to each other in Traditional Education.
