The simplest and least intense kind of love is a love felt between acquaintances. Due to the nature of the relationship that stems from newly established friendships and just recently introduced interactions, the feeling of love could be exhibited in such a shallow manner. There could be caring in terms of not wanting any injury or harm to befall that newly found friend; but other than that, the support, emotional bond, and intensity of interpersonal relationship is maintained on a purely platonic basis. In this scenario, love could be defined as an emotional bond newly established and shared to serve purely functional purposes.
Love could be elevated to a higher level in terms of the emotional feelings shared and established between family members and relatives; particularly among siblings and extended family members.
