Enterprise architecture phases

Business Architecture describes the product and/or service strategy, and the organizational, functional, process, information, and geographic aspects of the businessenvironment. How is Business Architecture scoped? The way in which the business architecture is scoped depends on a number of factors.

In some cases, the key elements of the business architecture may be done in other activities, such as the enterprise mission, vision, strategy andgoals. In cases where little Business Architecture work has been done before, it is necessary to research, verify and gain buy-in to the key business objectives and the processes that the architecture is to support. This may be done either as a freestanding exercise, either preceding architecture development or as part of Architecture Vision.
