The videos give a detailed account of how the abuse takes place. This in turn allows understanding the scenarios and circumstances that lead to such events and finally how they can be overcome.
The two main points extracted from it come in the form of knowing about the behavior and ways of the abusers. This includes their power to manipulate the scenario and entice the children into being attracted to them. Attracting them towards themselves is one of the common methods adopted. This may be in the form of incentives offered, alluring them into seeing beautiful items such as cars, luxury items and many other similar tactics. Gaining control over the children’s minds and deceiving them into comfort zone is another tactic adopted by the abusers. Another fact established is the fact that the molesters are usually habitual and their habits may not end up after confronted once. They therefore should be carefully monitored in their interaction with children.
The second thing learnt is the fact how the children can be protected from the molesters. The overall purpose of the program and the recordings is to give an insight and actual scenario into how the molesters make use of the tactics and how in turn the parents should equip themselves in order to protect their children. Preventing any contact in isolation, making sure they are not dragged into their apartments, or not allowed to be physically guided or touched by the elders in the playgrounds make up for few of the precautionary methods that may be adopted by the parents towards protecting their children (HARPO, 2014).
