THE KALAYAAN > name of the newspaper published in the middle of March 1896. January 1896 > the total membership did not exceed 300. After distribution of the Kalayan in Pampanga, Tarlac, and in the Tagalog provinces, from Manila in the center to Nueva Ecija in the north and Batangas in the south, the total membership reached about 30, 000.
