The differences and similarities between parental love and romantic love are parental love you are born into it, parental love is never ending and romantic love may end and you are attracted into this type of love. Similarities between the two are, both have life lessons and you have a strong aspect of protection. I chose these because the two loves have very strong similarities. I am going to talk about this essay by describing the two types of love and then explaining the differences and similarities between the two. The first type of love is parental love, parental love last forever and always be there for you.
You are born into the love and it stays constant through your life. “ Many morning hath he been seen with tears augmenting the fresh mornings dew. ”(Shakespeare 739) This quote represents parental love because it shows Romeos parents are concerned about his wellbeing. “ Marry, is the very theme I come to talk of. ”(Shakespeare 750) This quote from the book shows Ms. Capulet loves Juliet wants to help her. The second type of love is romantic. Romantic love may end and you are attracted and chose this type of love. “ Then my lips the sin that thy have took. ”(Shakespeare 759) this quote expresses the kiss and romance between Juliet and Romeo. Thus from my lips, by thine my sin is purged. ”(Shakespeare 759) This quote shows that romantic love is a more interment love. The similarities between parental love and romantic love are both gives life lessons. Parental love teaches life lessons when parents teach their kids about life, where as in romantic love lessons are learned by experience. Another similarity is both types of love have a strong aspect of protection. Parental love the parents protect the child and care for them, where in romantic love spouses feel the need to protect each other.
