Chapter 1: Life Before Bonding

It was almost dark and there was absolutely no sound in the woods apart from three footsteps and the breeze was flowing and making noise. Suddenly, Jack stopped and said “ it is enough friends, we need to do something or else we would be left alone and will remain the same in our lives”. Jack was very aggressive and he was a sodium electron, he was very introvert and remained alone in his Atom’s outer shell. Jack was tranquilized by Crystal, and she was a chlorine electron and mentioned that “ Jack, together we will be able to do something however if we stay alone we may not be able to survive in this world. Kate and Matthew nodded in agreement to what; Crystal said however they also looked puzzled. Kate was a carbon electron and Matthew was either an electron, and both of them were also going through the same phase of struggle that Crystal and Jack were going through, however they were not very aggressive in their approach and believed that, something good will happen to the future. Kate Said “ we must understand that most of us should be bonded to each other to increase our strength.”[1]

Jack again said “ friends, we all have different kinds of talents and they have different situations in life, I am unpaired and do not have a partner and move around freely in this world, and is time for me to leave the comfort of my home and involve someone from outside like you to be my guest and help me to proceed in life.” Crystal said to Jack “ what you are saying is right, and more then you we are almost unattached from our family, you still stay close to your dad (nucleus) however my dad is always far from me and most of my brothers and sisters are together and stay close to him. Matthew the iron electron, agreed to what was said by Jack in Crystal and he also mentioned that “ when the others are not supporting, let’s be together and work towards the improvement of a life”, once again carbon also nodded in agreement.
All these four friends, were talking to each other and further discussed that how they can collaborate with each other to build strong relationships or bonding in life and is said that in order to be stable in their career they would form metallic bonding and would stay together. The first discussion, to start with a new project initiated between Jack and Crystal and Jack mentioned to Crystal, “ you are a nonmetallic that and I’m a metal there is no doubt in the fact that if we work together we would definitely be able to produce salt and therefore our collaboration will help to create an ionic bond, which will be very strong and will help to create sodium chloride salt”. Crystal agree to the fact that and mentioned that yes we will do that in future. The next conversation was between Matthew and Jack, and they also said that if we join hands together we will be able to produce a metallic bond, which will be extremely strong and nobody will be able to easily get us to stay away from each other. Crystal and Kate said to each other in the meantime, that we will also do something together as although we will be able to form a week covalent bond however still, we will try and be stable as far as possible [2] [3].

Jack went and brought the paper and a pen and sat with everyone else, he mentioned that it would be better for them to make a Lewis structure and explained everyone that “ the bond length between two of us in an area (molecule) is the distance at which the potential energy of our bonding is minimized [4], and decide that how they will work together in future. They also discuss that they will follow Octet or Duet rule in life and as a part of which they will share their resources in such a manner that either they have great things together or they have two things to share with each other in order to bond with each other [5]. Matthew and Jack were sure of the fact that when they will work together they will be able to form a three-dimensional network based on positive and negatives associated with each other and this will help them to attract each other and create a strong bond [8]. They will be able to face bigger problems in life and this means that they will have a high boiling point. Jack was pretty sure about this collaboration with Matthew; Annie said that due to the quality that they have they will be able to do good in life and they will keep some employees who will be free to rome around when they enter the conduction band. Crystal and Kate were quite sad while this discussion was going on between Jack and Matthew and they said that we are not metallic and we may not have a very strong bond among each other however Mathew told them that since they will move into other’s house they will always have a strong bond, even when they are non-metals, and they also said that “ what we can do is we can add other molecules to ourselves to ensure that we also have a strong bonding”, and in case if we will face any issue the other molecule that we will add will be able to provide support to us. It was late at night, and time for everyone dispersed, with a thought in mind to something new and productive in future by creating bonds in life.

Chapter 2: The Bonding Experience

The next day was the fresh morning and Jack called Crystal and he said that “ I want to meet you and discuss about our bonding and working together as somehow I have got to know that our collaboration will be the most important one.” Jack and Crystal met and while having a discussion they came to know that Crystal who was a chlorine electron had in total 16 neighbors who resided in such a way that she was alone in the first shell, there were eight in the second one and there were seven in the third one. Crystal also realized the fact that she was definitely need of one more tenant in their house to complete her total eight in the last room which was the maximum capacity. Then Jack said ” I have a total of 11 tenants in my house and I have Two of them in the first room including me eight of them in the second and there is only one in the third”, finally it was decided that Jack will move to Crystal’s house and is way both of them will be able to manage the overcrowding in their houses. After the discussion, they were very happy with the fact that they will be able to create a strong collaboration between each other in order to form an ionic bond. Jack and Matthew once again met discuss about their prospects of collaboration with each other, however they came to this conclusion that both of them have stable number of tenants in their living spaces and therefore it is difficult for them to create collaboration with normal scenarios by moving into either of their houses however they discussed that in future they may try to move the entire houses together with tenants living together and forming atomic bonds to make a molecule and will come up with a new concept or metal altogether.

In the evening, Crystal and Kate also met with each other decide how they will work together in future and it was decided that if they worked together they will be able to form a polar bond. They already were aware that their collaboration with each other will not be very strong however it is definitely possible even in normal conditions and they will form a bond which will be weak covalent bond [6]. Finally, the discussions between all the parties related to their collaboration ended and it was decided that how they will work together with each other in future in order to join hands and come up with positive results.

Chapter 3 : Results of Bonding

The discussion that happened between the four friends in the previous chapter, change their life completely and after some time they met in a coffee shop in order to discuss with each other how their discussions have been progressing in future. The first conversation seemed to strike between Crystal and Jack and they mentioned to everyone that they were very happy with their performance and their collaboration was extremely successful as they were able to create a salt and add an extensive use in the market. They said that, they are able to face lot of problems in life and have a high boiling point and they have a very strong bond which cannot be easily broken without any big problem in life like the strong chemical reaction which may break them apart however usually they are very strong and have qualities similar to those of a metal and also have few qualities of a non-metal as they are soluble in water.

Crystal and Kate then talked about their experience with bonding during the past time and they said that they expected it that it will be difficult for them to stay together for a very long time. They said that although there are bond was very weak as it was covalent bond, they were happy with the fact that they have maintained it and being in gaseous state, they were invisible and it was not possible for anyone to see them and therefore it is difficult to remove them from each other. They also mentioned that there are bond was weak and normally it was not easy for them to stay with each other for a long time. Lastly, Matthew and Jack spoke, and they were smiling throughout their conversation as they said that they had already discussed and tried a lot however it was not possible for them to collaborate and work in normal conditions and during extreme conditions they formed bonds which are very strong and in their molten state they came together and formed a very strong and hard metal which would help them to further create a very strong image in the market. They were happy with the fact that almost at normal temperatures it may not be possible for them to greater bond however with the current conditions in place and in extreme conditions they can add any point of time come together and can help each other to achieve success.

The discussion then progress to a normal conversation between all the four friends and they said that for anyone to collaborate in life it is important to create bonds which are strong. Crystal and Kate mentioned that for them it was only possible to create a week bond as they were only able to form a single bond and it was a double bond that they created and being nonmetals they could only help each other in such a way that they could form of covalent bonds which were not strong. Jake and Crystal were very proud of their collaboration and is said that we were able to find a way in order to find a three-dimensional network and there was a continuous collaboration of tenants between our house that is the reason why there were positives and negatives happening in our life which have also led to a strong bonding between each other [7].

All four friends also agreed with the fact that began at the point of time joined hands together in order to form collaboration with each other and a bonding which would be a result of polyatomic ions and can be extremely helpful in joining hands with each other and forming a bond by appreciating each other for their differences and sharing the oppositely charged ion [9]. Jack said “ all the way and Matthew were not able to create a collaboration at normal conditions, which means temperature and pressure however it is definitely possible for us to have a strong attraction between our metal atoms and mobile electrons as they’ve flowed freely in our house and at any point of time we can create those conditions where we are either in a molten state or other chemical conditions are there which would lead to our collaboration, and once that happens it will be very difficult to set us apart.” Matthew added” and Jack don’t forget the fact that in case if we are able to do that we would have lot of qualities which Kate and Crystal would never have as they are nonmetals, and these qualities would include high electrical conductivity, melee ability, ductility and luster [11].”, With these words everyone laughed and then nodded that yes in case Jack and Matthew who represent Iron and sodium collaborate with each other, they will be able to produce very strong results.

Chapter 4: The end of story & Discussions

With the events that took place, it was clear to the four friends Jack, Crystal, Matthew and Kate who represented sodium, chlorine, iron and carbon that what type of collaboration can they have in life and how can they work with each other in order to produce different results in future. It was very clear that Jack and Crystal are metal and a non-metal and specially with the ionic activity happening between them, it was easy for them to collaborate with each other and also to form strong bonds which would stay forever and will also provide them the qualities of facing more problems in life as they are together and possessing high boiling point and metallic luster.

On the other hand it was clear to Matthew and Jack that in a given normal condition it will not be able to have them to form bonds however in situations where an extra pressure temperature is created which means if they have lot of problems, they can come together to create quality solutions which will be strong and will have metallic features giving them strength and the ability to work together in order to create a bond which cannot be easily broken [10]. Similarly Crystal and Kate are already in a gas estate however if they would have had a situation where they would have been able to share electrons to fill their outer shells they could have made a strong covalent bond, but this was not the situation here and they could only revolve around Crystal’s house due to her high electro-negativity. Kate called her cousin sister and told her to join them so that they can meet the needs and form a non-polar covalent bond, they were aware of the fact that in case if they come together they would have qualities of a gas estate and their collaboration together will also help them become a little stronger from what they were before and would help them to get a higher boiling point and face more problems easily. By the end of the discussion, it was clear to them that while they all wanted to work together with each other they had to follow rule which included the fact that whenever they have two come together and collaborate they either have two giveaway one or more tenants(electron) living in their house to the other friend and collaborate or they have to share the tenants and create a covalent bonds among each other, which may not be very strong but still will be able to help create a method of collaboration among each other.

Lastly, the story ended with the fact that all the friends understood that how they can come up together in order to work with each other and achieve success by creating those conditions within which they can join hands and come together. At the end of the story, Jack and Crystal were together and they lived happily ever after, Crystal and Jake became good friends and they were in touch with each other although not very strongly however maintained a good touch. Jake and Matthew were also aware of the attraction among them, they also became very good friends however they decided that in case if they will have an extra pressure or high temperature in their life they will come together and will form a bond which may not be easy for anyone to break.
