She also advises him to control his anger so that he is always in control of his life (Dhouda, 7. 2).
Her method can be considered effective because she uses many different sources to argue her points. The poetic reference and other quotes also make the manual persuasive to a great extent. The text is definitely persuasive for a person who is religious and believes in God. Dhouda was a typical 10the-century woman and mother as she was extremely religious and wanted her son to live in a way so as to please God in every possible way.
