An experience that changed me essay

First of all, let me introduce myself. I grew up in a tender and caring family. I love my family, especially my baby sister.

Before my sister’s birth, I was the only child in my family and I became their “ center of attention”. I was always surrounded with love and attention. I am well- bread, good-natured and positive girl who is addicted to music. In 2007 I had the opportunity to participate in the project Vivas which is an international festival for youth in ” Casa Montagna di Ferriere Valnure” in Ferriere Italy. The children in Macedonia who had participated on Zlatno Slavejce, (a festival of children’s songs) , had the chance to participate on this festival. The founder of the festival ” Vivas” is Mr. Carlo Devoti, a former waterlo Italian national team player. The founder of this festival have merged sports, music, painting art, dances, ecology and healthy way of living.

The friendship with the children of the festival Zlatno Slavejce to me was good base to wish days with them and with other children from different nations that I met in Italy Now I will tell you how I was spending time there. The object was located in mountainous place Pianceza, Ferierre. Every day after breakfast we had a meeting and we discussed how to spend the day.

The object had a courts for tennis, beach- volleyball, soccer, aerobics and it had a pool, so every day we played different sports and we learned something about them. Each day, one group lay the tables at meal times, keep the place tidy and organized an original “ wake up” call to start their National day. On their National Day, the group organizes arts activities and games during the day as well as the evening entertainment. That gave to all of us, a chance to meet with the kids from the other countries, and learn about theirs country’s customs and traditions. We had a workshops too where we made traditional clothing about dolls, jewelry, souvenirs, greeting cards and then exchanged with the children from other nations.

We learned about the enviroment and saving electricity, and how to save water. Also we made art works on appropriate places in the camp, that will remain forever on the walls facility. There, we created a daily paper news, and in the end that daily was printed and distributed among the participants. During our stay there with us were children from Russia and Romania. Although my experience was long time ago, I still think that there was a big influence on my payment, and it left a big impression. My friends rarely or even never have an occasion to pass the borders of our country, to meet, make friends, play, laugh, sing and learn with other children from other countries different from us, but still so same. That energy among children, whatever they are, from wherever they are, I felt while I was in Vivas and often times telling my friends, I think I’m still bringing it with me.

I figure out that the experiences of these camps and festivals are very big asset for our spirit, gaining respect and acceptance of different from us. Taking care for the environment that Mr. Carlo told to us, in a fun and interactive way for me encouraged conscientious thoughts of the environmental problems in our world, and throughout my schooling and my free time I often engaged in actions related to ecology and healthy environment. This experience has strengthened my character, made me to increse my confidence, to be communicative and open minded.

This experience helped me to develop better my skills that I believe that I ‘ ll still need them. It helped me to have strengthened the ability to do fast and firmly decisions. In me I developed curiosity and desire for new voyages, meeting other cultures, countries … My opinion is that the participation of youth in this type of camps can greatly help them grow into better people.

Interactive discreet and very positive learning can foster positive change in their life. To master the skill, to prefer, sing, learn and live with others different from them. Share and accept and appreciate the culture and traditions of others different from them. To learn that the experiences they share with each other make them spiritually richer. In our life we can create a field in a simple and peaceful way with colorful flowers and different spices and smells
